The Shrine of Don Bosco History

Foundation stone of this Magnificent Shrine laid on 16th August 2014 on the inauguration of the Bicentenary of Don Bosco’s birth by His Grace Bishop Anton Bal, Bishop of Kundiawa, Hon. Camillus Dagma, M.P. of Kerowagi in the presence of Salesians Fr. Robinson Parappilly SDB, Rector and many other dignitaries.

The Shrine is consecrated and blessed on 22nd November 2017 by His Beatitude Cardinal John Ribat. MSC.

The official declaration of the Shrine by His Grace Bishop Anton Bal D.D. in the presence of Bishops, Salesian Provincial, Rectors, Priests, Religious and over five thousand faithful gathered.

Nurturing and glorifying this Shrine : Fr. Robinson Parappilly. SDB, Rector
Construction and Architecture works : Mr. Vavachan Ouseph Gnaliyan from India.

The work completed in 2018.
