PGS Provincial Appointed
The Rector Major of the Salesians has appointed Fr. Gregorio Bicomong Jr as Provincial of PGS from 2020-2026. Fr. Greg was born on October 19, 1962 in Quezon City, Manila, Philippines. He made his first religious profession in Canlubang on April 1, 1981. From 1987-1990 he made his theological studies at the Salesian Pontifical University, Rome followed by licentiate in Church history at the Pontifical Gregorian University. May 5, 2020 – The Salesians spearheaded the prompt response with the other members of the Salesian Family all over the world to help the communities affected by Covid-19. Many people of goodwill responded with small donations, but the number of such donors was large. Hence, a lot of charitable services was extended to many affected communities.”

Spreading Awareness on Covid 19 The Salesians of Don Bosco in Papua New Guinea and in the Solomon Islands continue their work in spreading awareness to prevent the spread of Covid19 virus in both countries. Writen by Ms. Elain Magei, 19 March 20, 2020 DBTS CELEBRATES THE SOLEMINTY TO SAINT JOESPH AND THE INDUCTION OF SALESIAN YOUTH GROUPS The day began with the line formation of new members of the youth groups to move into the DBTS gym for the induction after the assembly at Don Bosco Technical School. New EAO Regional elected
March 13, 2020, Valdocco, Turin, Italy – The members of the 28th General Chapter elected Fr Joseph Nguyen Thinh Phuoc SDB as General Councilor for East Asia and Oceania. Fr. Joseph is from Vietnam and has a long experience in formation. At the time of his election he was a member of the Missions Sector in Rome. We welcome Fr. Joseph and look forward to his visit to our Vice Province.
