This memorable event of groundbreaking and laying of foundation stone for school chapel happened at the occasion of the feast day of our Father, Founder and Friend St. John Bosco on 31rst /1. As it was presented by fr. Rector, the Chapel is meant to accommodate more or less 250 students. “Coming up with this project of the chapel, it is a response to the need of having a house of prayer for students’ retreats, outsiders who may need space for mass like wedding, funeral or other special event,” he added. Were present at the event are the 5 SDBs of both Don Bosco schools in Solomon, 3 Salesian Sisters, Staff from both schools (Henderson and Tetere), students beneficiaries of the project, the Salesian cooperators, few past-pupils and two benefactors from POB were witnesses. The constructor is Mr. Leo director and manager of LRS Construction Company. The school has been doing fundraising and continues to do so knocking to generous doors to support raising funds for the accomplishment of this chapel which construction started in February.
